WARNING
Use caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during procedure.
Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy
parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death.

Use a sling to lift the main differential and ring gear assembly (5) from the carrier. Place the assembly on a work bench.

Remove two bearing cups (9).

Remove flange case half bearing cone (10) and plain

case half bearing cone (11) with puller.

If matching marks on the case halves of
the differential are not visible, mark each
case half with a center punch and hammer.
The match marks are to ensure proper part
orientation at assembly.

WARNING
Failure to use a retaining bolt or other means of restraint can cause injury when removing the no-spin differ-
ential. The no-spin differential contains compression springs under pressure.

Secure the no-spin differential (12) with a bolt, a wing
NO SPIN
nut, and two flatwashers. See materials/parts heading
DIFFERENTIAL
in initial setup for retaining hardware dimensions.
ASSEMBLY
10.
Remove eight capscrews (14) and eight flatwashers
(15) from plain case half (16).

Separate case halves (16 and 17) and remove no-spin
