INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT

Fully extend boom (TM 10-3930-660-10).

Place boom in horizontal position.

NOTE

Adjusting the tension of the boom retract

chain will also adjust the tension in the

boom extend chain.

Measure retract chain sag (1) at middle of intermedi-

ate boom section.

Chain sag (1) should be approximately 3-1/4 to 3-1/2

in. (8.3 to 8.9 cm) from top of chain to bottom of

boom.
