Check piston pin (1) diameter at six points as shown. Minimum allowable pin diameter
is 1.5744 in. (39.99 mm).

Install one retaining ring (4) into groove on side of piston (2) marked "FRONT."
(2)
Lubricate piston pin (1) and piston (2) pin bore with clean engine oil.
