a. Lubrication of Boom Pivot Pins.
CAUTION
To ensure adequate lubrication of boom pivot pins, be sure that Steps (1) and (2) below are performed
prior to applying lubrication. Inadequate lubrication of boom pivot pins could result in excessive wear
and damage to vehicle or load.
(1)
Fully retract boom (1) (TM 10-3930-673-10).
(2)
Position forks (2) so forks are resting on ground (TM 10-3930-673-10).
(3)
Apply lubrication to three grease fittings (3) on top of boom (1).
(4)
Apply lubrication to grease fittings (4) on cylinder (5).
(5)
Apply lubrication to two grease fittings (6) on carriage (7).
(6)
Apply lubrication to grease fitting (8) on cylinder (9).
