REMOVAL
NOTE
"Front" and "rear" engine references used in this paragraph are relative to the front and rear of the vehicle,
with engine mounted in the vehicle. The fan side of the engine is designated the rear of the engine, and the
flywheel end of the engine is identified as the front of the engine.

With thermostat removed, remove engine rear lifting

bracket (1).

Remove two capscrews (2) and front lifting bracket
(3).

CLEANING
See Cleaning instructions (WP 0316 00).
INSPECTION
See Inspection instructions (WP 0317 00).
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Apply loctite to capscrews as installed.
1.
Install front lifting bracket (3) and two capscrews (2).
409-847
Torque capscrews (2) to 57 lb-ft (77 Nm).
2.
Assemble engine rear lifting bracket (1) to engine,
then install thermostat (WP 0055 00).
