Secure clevis (3) to parking brake assembly (4) with
clevis pin (2) and new cotter pin (1).

Position cable (7) in mounting bracket (8) and tighten

nuts (5 and 6).

Install new tie down straps (19) and secure cable (7) as
noted during removal.
Adjust cable (1). Refer to Adjustment.

Connect battery cables (WP 0107 00).
ADJUSTMENT OF PARKING BRAKE CABLE
NOTE
Minor adjustments of parking brake cable can be made by turning knob on lever in cab. A major adjustment
is required if parking brake cannot be adjusted with the major adjustment.
1.
Turn adjustment knob (28) on end of lever (9) in or out
as required until approximately 50 lb (23 kg) of force
is required to set the parking brake.
