Remove auxiliary gear and shaft
STEP 7.
The parking brake will not have to be removed
except in the event of replacement of bearings,
STEP 8.
Remove auxiliary bearing. (axle end)
gears or seals.
I n s t a l l auxiliary bearing. (axle end)
STEP 1.
Remove parking brake drum fastener.
STEP 1.
Install auxiliary shaft and gear.
STEP 2.
STEP 2. Remove drum and flange assembly from
auxiliary shaft.
STEP 3. Install bearing and retainer ring.
(engine end)
STEP 3. Remove parking brake fasteners and
remove parking brake.
STEP 4. Install flange seal and parking brake
assembly.
STEP 4. Using puller, remove parking brake drum
flange seal.
Install flange and drum assembly.
STEP 5.
Remove auxiliary shaft retainer ring.
STEP 5.
STEP 6. Install flange fastener (torque to
specifications).
STEP 6. Remove bearing using appropriate puller.
