5. With a tachomter, check engine for
governed speed at full throttle. The unloaded
engine RPM should be set at 2350.
6. Check governed engine speed with par-
t i a l l o a d . With engine at full throttle and
the tilt lever in full backward tilt, momenta-
rily hold the tilt lever back to load the en-
g i n e . With the engine loaded in this manner,
the approximate engine RPM should be 2200.
NOTE
Engine properly tuned before making
transmission stall checks.

INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE CONVERTER.

check for normal stall RPM by positioning mach-
ine against an immovable object....or by apply-
i n g a correctly adJusted parking brake.......
equipped with goodbrake linings. Place the
machine in gear and accelerate engine to full
t h r o t t l e . Normal stall is 1450 to 1600 RPM.
