Check side
Use feeler gauge. If clearance exceeds
bottom
clearance
0.011 inch, replace connecting rod

Cylinder block,
Four piston sleeves
Check
Inspect for carbon or metal ridge at top of
top
ring travel. Use plastic scraper to remove
carbon ridge. If a metal ridge has formed
replace piston sleeve (para 4-2a)
CAUTION
Don't use sharp instruments to remove carbon ridge.
