2. ENGINE WILL NOT START OR IS DIFFICULT TO START

Remove right side panel from vehicle by pulling down on hook to disengage it from lock bracket.

Step 1.

Grasp handle on right side panel and pull side panel from vehicle.

Check if fuel shut-off valve (located right side, in engine compartment above fuel filler neck) is in

off position.

OFF

Place handle in on position.

Check if there is fuel in fuel tank.

Step 2.

WARNING

Diesel fuel is combustible.

Fill fuel tank.

Lower tow bar, open grille, and remove battery cover as described in MALFUNCTION 1,

Check for loose, corroded, or damaged battery connections and cables.

Clean corroded cable connections with clean water and a brush. Tighten loose connections

and report damaged cables to organizational maintenance.
