VISUAL INSPECTION
(1) Remove drive belt, tachometer drive,
and gear cover.
(2) Inspect area around oil pump for leaks.
(3) Remove oil pump and inspect it for
damage.
(a) If oil pump is free from signs of
damage and leaks, inspect
regulating valve and spring for
damage (Para 3-26). Replace
components as necessary.
Change oil and filter.
(b) If pump shows signs of damage
and leaks, replace pump
(4) Install gear cover, tachometer drive,
and drive belt.
