a. Removal.

If NBC exposure is suspected, all air
filter media should be handled by
TR00003
personnel wearing protective

equipment. Consult your unit NBC

Officer or NBC NCO for appropriate
handling or disposal instructions.

Do not smoke or allow open flame or
sparks in the vicinity while working on
any part of the fuel system. Diesel fuel
is highly flammable and can cause
injury or death if accidentally ignited.

Remove primary filter element (1) and
secondary filter element (2) from housing
(3).

Remove clamp (4) and access cover (5)
from housing (3).

NOTE
Preformed packing may come loose when
cover removed.
(b)
Remove wing nut (6) and primary filter
element (1) from housing (3).
(c)
Remove wing nut (7) and secondary filter
