TM 10-3930-671-24 • Use    only    original    equipment    fasteners when installing counterweights. • Torque   to   specifications   shown   in   this manual. • Failure   to   follow   these   instructions   may result in severe injury or death. 5.    Install the counterweight mounting bolts (2 outer and 2 inner) and  tighten  sufficiently  to  draw  the counterweight into position. Shims (38.853) may be    required    for    correct    alignment    of    the counterweight.      Check   the   counterweight   for correct  position  and  alignment  when  the  bolts are tightened. Be  sure  that  the  mounting  bolts  are  undamaged  and have    the    correct    material    (strength    and    hardness) specification.    Do    not    use    substitute,    defective,    or incorrect mounting bolts. Replace worn or defective bolts or damage to equipment could result. 6.    Tighten  inner  counterweight  mounting  bolts  to correct torque. Torque specification: 251-280 Ib-ft (340-380 Nom). 7.    Tighten  outer  counterweight  mounting  bolts  to correct torque. Torque specification: 251-280 Ib-ft (340-380 N•m).    8. Lower the hoist and disconnect the lifting chains or sling. Remove chocks from drive wheels. F494
