TM 10-3930-671-24 3. Be   sure   to   secure   and   support   upright   from falling before removing tilt cylinders. 4. Remove the floorboards. NOTE Put   a   drain   pan   under   the   truck   at   each   tilt   cylinder position     when     removing     hydraulic     lines.     Refer     to Illustration. 5. Disconnect   the   hydraulic   tilt   lines   from   the   tilt cylinders   and   cap   the   ends   of   the   lines   and fittings to prevent contamination of the lines. 6. Loosen  and  remove  the  capscrew  and  rod  end pin  from  the  tilt  cylinder  forward  end  at  upright. Remove  the  mounting  pin  and  separate  the  tilt cylinder  from  the  upright  bracket.  Remove  rod end pin bearing. Retainer bolt torque spec: 6-7 lb-ft. (8-10 N•m). 7.    Mounting pin retainment. 8.    Loosen   and   remove   capscrew    and    retainer washer  (or  plate)  from  anchor  end  (rear)  of  tilt cylinder. Remove the mounting pin and separate the tilt cylinder from the frame bracket. Remove anchor pin bearing and spacer. 9.    Remove tilt cylinder from the truck. Rod End Removal Refer to illustrations above. 10.    Fully  loosen  rod  end  fastener  bolt.  Remove  rod end  by  unscrewing  from  tilt  cylinder  piston  rod. Hold rod using wrench flat on piston rod. F-475
