Preparation For Disassembly
CAUTION
Overhaul valve only in a clean, dust-
free location, using clean tools and
equipment. Dirt or grit will damage
the highly-machined surfaces and
will result in leakage or premature
failure of components. Cleanliness
of the hydraulic circuit is extremely
important to the proper operation and
maintenance of the system. Be sure
the work area Is clean or equipment
failure could result.
1.
Clean outside of valve with a good grade of
solvent and dry thoroughly.
2.
Before starting disassembly, the valve should be
carefully examined to determine if there is any
evidence of external damage.
1.
Position the valve with its mounting face on the
work surface. Note that the top of each spool
has a marking to designate the function.
W = Lift Spool
A = The Spool
D = Aux. Spool
NOTE
Keep parts in order as removed and
avoid mixing of sections.
2.
Disassemble each valve spool, one at a time,
from bottom of valve. Loosen and remove the
fasteners, then remove the cover (retainer and
sleeve) and O-ring from each spool section of
the valve body.
