TM 10-3930-671-24 Section 6 - Charging System CHARGING SYSTEM The charging circuit consists primarily of an alternator, regulator, battery, and wiring.  When analyzing the charging circuit, the components should be checked in the following order: I. Wiring Wiring    in    the    charging    circuit    should    be    carefully inspected  for  frayed  insulation  or  other  damage,    and replace   any   wiring   that   is   defective.      Also   inspect   all connections    to    the    alternator,    regulator,    and    battery (including all ground connections), and clean and tighten as required.
