TM 10-3930-671-10 Know The Truck How The Lift Truck Operates Service  brakes  can  be  applied  by  pushing  on  right  brake  pedal  or  left inching brake pedal. Never   operate   your   lift   truck   if   the   service   brakes   are   not   working properly. TA18  inching  is  controlled  by  using  left  inching  brake  pedal.    Pedal  will smoothly  disengage  transmission  as  it  is  pressed.    When  the  pedal  is pushed further, the service brakes are applied. Parking  brake  lever  mounted  at  right  of  steering  column  mechanically applies service brakes.  Pull lever fully to vertical upright position to apply parking brake.  Push lever forward to release parking brake.  (Shown in released position).
