Know The Truck
How The Lift Truck Operates
With the accelerator pedal, you control the engine to select the required
truck travel speed and power, and the correct speed for lifting a load.
The accelerator is mechanically connected to the fuel control.
The steering wheel is connected with a hydrostatic steering gear. Power
steering is provided by oil pressure from the main hydraulic pump which
flows to the steering gear used in the amount required for movement of
the steering cylinder on the steer axle.
Never operate a lift truck which has a steering system fault.
