Removal NOTE Left    and     right     tie     rod     arms     are removed the same way.  The left side is shown. (1) Remove  cotter  pin  (1),  washer  (2),  pin  (3),  and tie    rod    arm    (4)    from    steering    cylinder    (5). Discard cotter pin. (2) Remove two grease fittings (6) from tie rod arm (4). (3) Using a press, remove two bearings (7) from tie rod arm (4). 12-2
