TM 10-3930-669-10 (4) As the forward right corner of the fork clears the load vertical member, shift the mast assembly left and at the same time, pivot forks clockwise towards load to an angle of approximately 45 degrees.  Stop the shift motion. CAUTION Ensure the forks are centered in the load or damage to load or equipment may occur. (5) Continue to pivot the forks clockwise into the load while the forklift is still moving forward at a slow (creep) speed until the mast assembly is parallel to the load and the forks are centered in the pallet fork openings. (6) Shift the mast assembly to the right until the forks are completely in or under the load. (7) Raise the load enough to clear the rack horizontal members or ground. 2-31
