1-12. POWERTRAIN.
a.
The powertrain consists of the engine (1), transmission (2), drive shaft (3), and drive axle (4).
b.
The forklift is powered by an air-cooled, four-cylinder diesel engine coupled directly to an automatic transmission.
The transmission can be shifted into forward, reverse, or neutral and has a high range and low range in forward
only.
c.
A short drive shaft transmits power from the transmission to the drive axle.
