A. REMOVAL
NOTE
These procedures are used for both
the front and rear axle assemblies.
Perform steps 5, 6, 7, and 8 only on
the front axle assembly.
1.
Remove and discard cotter pin (3). Remove tie rod
(1) from steering case (2) by removing nut (4) and
separating tie rod using a puller.
2.
It is not necessary to remove tie rod (1) from
steering cylinder (5). Remove tie rod only if
replacement is required.
