TM10-3930-660-34 16-10.  CARRIAGE TILT CYLINDER - REPATR (Cont’d) NOTE The nut (8) may need to be heated with a torch for removal. h. Remove nut (8) and washer (9).  Discard nut (8). i. Remove piston (10) and discard 0-ring (11).Discard O-ring (11). j. Remove washer (12) and slide gland (3) off rod (2). k. Remove O-ring (5) and back-up ring (13) from gland (3).Discard O-ring (5). CAUTION Do not nick or scratch seal groove during removal of seal (14) and rod wiper (15).Failure to follow this precaution will cause part damage. NOTE Note direction that lip of seal (14) is facing before removal. 1. Remove seal (14) and rod wiper (15) from inside of gland (3). m.    Remove bushing (16).
