Oil pan removed, para. 3-20. NOTE If a new camshaft is being installed, all tappets must be replaced. REMOVAL 1. TURN ENGINE STAND SO CRANKSHAFT (1) IS FACING UP. CAUTION Be careful not to drop the tappets (2) into the bottom of the pistons during tappet removal as this could damage the pistons. 2. USE A MAGNET TO REMOVE TAPPETS (2) FROM CYLINDER BLOCK (3). 3-109
