TM10-3930-660-20 8-43. BATTERIES -  SERVICE/TEST/REPLACE (cont’d) Make sure baking soda and water solution does not enter cells of batteries (4) and (5) during cleaning. Be sure fill plugs c. d. e. f. 9* (6) are installed. Clean exterior surface and terminals (7), (8), (9), and (10) of batteries (4) and (5) with baking soda and water solution. Rinse batteries (4) and (5) with clear  water. Apply a light coating of petroleum jelly to terminals (7), (8), (9), and (10). If removed, install batteries (4) and (5) to vehicle as described in REMOVAL section of this paragraph. Install cables to batteries (4) and (5) as described in REMOVAL section of this paragraph. 4. INSTALL BATTERY BOX COVER (1). a. b. Position battery box cover (1) on battery box (3). Secure battery box cover (1) to battery box (3) with two straps (2). 1.
