STOPPING THE FORKLIFT.
Depress the brake pedal to slow the vehicle down.
b. Bring the machine to a complete stop. Place the travel select lever in the Neutral N position.
c. Pull the parking brake Iever up to apply the parking brake.
d. Move the hydraulic joystick control lever left to retract the boom extend cylinder.
e. Push the hydraulic joystick control lever forward to lower the boom until forks are
ground.
2-10. STOPPING THE ENGINE.
a. Place the travel select lever in the Neutral N position.
b. Pull the parking brake lever up to apply the parking brake.
c. Move the hydraulic joystick control lever left to retract the boom extend cylinder.
d. Push the hydraulic joystick control lever forward to lower the boom until forks are

e. Turn all lights and accessories off.
f. Allow the engine to idle for three minutes.
g. Turn the starter-run control switch to the OFF position.
h. Perform the after operation checks listed in the Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services.
2-11. OPERATING IN ROUGH TERRAIN.
Do not travel with the automatic fork level switch in the ON position. It is
possible to drop a load which can result in load damage, injury or death.
2-12. INSTALLING THE MLRS LIFT TOOL AND STOP TUBE.
With the MLRS lifting tool attached to the MLRS pod and stop tube on the forks, the 6KVRRTFL can
handle MLRS pods. The following procedure provides instructions for use of the lifting tool and stop
tube.
