NOTE Engine  assembly  has  six  main  bearing  caps  and  one  thrust  bearing  cap.  All  bearing  caps  are removed the same way. One main bearing cap Is illustrated. 3. Note identifying arrow (6) and numbers (7) on main bearing cap (2) and oil pan rail (8). If numbers are not present, mark main bearing cap and oil pan rail to aid during installation. 5-34
