TM 10-3930-659-20 6-2.  ALTERNATOR PULLEY REPLACEMENT. This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation INITIAL SETUP: Equipment Conditions: Materials/Parts: •    Alternator removed (see paragraph 6-1). •  One locknut Tools/Test Equipment: •    General mechanic's tool kit (Item 44, Appendix F) •    Mechanical puller kit (Item 32, Appendix F) a. REMOVAL 1. Remove locknut (1) and washer (2) from alterna tor shaft (4).  Discard locknut. 2. Remove   alternator   pulley   (3)   from   alternator shaft (4). 3. Remove key (5) from alternator shaft (4). b. INSTALLATION 1. Install key (5) on alternator shaft (4). 2. Press alternator pulley (3) on alternator shaft (4) and install washer (2) and new locknut (1). FOLLOW-ON TASKS: • Install alternator (see paragraph 6-1). TA707705 6-11
