TM 10-3930-653-14&P (4) Remove  the  primary  and  secondary  shoes.    At the same time, remove the adjuster and adjuster spring. (5) Remove  the  brake  line  from  the  wheel  cylinder. Remove  the  wheel  cylinder  mounting  bolts  and remove   the   wheel   cylinder   from   the   backing plate. (6) Remove   the   E-retainer   securing   the   parking brake  cable  to  the  backing  plate.    Remove  the backing  plate  mounting   bolts   and   remove   the backing plate from the axle. (7) Disassemble  the  wheel  cylinder  in  the  following manner:  remove the boot and push the piston in to remove  components  at  one  side.  Then  press the piston from the  opposite  side  to  remove  the rest.
