TM 10-3930-653-14&P DISASSEMBLY Cleanliness  is  of  extreme  importance  and  an  absolute must   in   the   repair   and   overhaul   of   this   unit.      Before attempting  any  repairs,  the  exterior  of  the  unit  must  be thoroughly  cleaned  to  prevent  the  possibility  of  dirt  and foreign matter entering the mechanism. (1)  Straighten tangs of 12 lock plates. Fig. 4-403.  Straightening Lock Plate Tangs (2)  Loosen  reamer  bolt  lock  nuts,  and  remove  six  lock plates and 12 lock nuts.
