TESTING/ADJUSTING - TILT BACK CIRCUIT RELIEF VALVE

Operate hydraulic controls through
three full movements of
travel to
warm hydraulic fluid.
Position fork tilt control in full
tilt back position, refer to TM 10-
3930-643-10.
Position in hold (NEUTRAL) position.
Stop engine.
Pump pressure tester hand pump
pressure to 3000 psi on tilt
cylinder.
Read gage.
If pump pressure exceeds
or does not produce 3000 psi, relief
valve (60) must be adjusted.
Using an 11/16 socket and socket
wrench handle, remove acorn nut (61)
from loader control
tilt valve assembly
relief valve (60).
Using a 1 open end
jam nut (62).
valve (36) and
(46).
Tilt back
wrench,
loosen
Using a flat tip screwdriver, adjust
screw (63), turning clockwise to
increase pressure, counterclockwise
to decrease pressure.
Hold when 3000 psi adjustment is
made.
Using an 11/16 socket and torque
wrench, tighten jam nut (62) to 10
lb-ft .
