If removed, press new bushing (41)
into housing (37).
Prior to
installation, soak bushing in
oil,
Grade 3.
Soak new wick (40) and new cap (39)
in oil, Grade 3, then install.
Lubricate new preformed packing (38)
lightly with oil, Grade 3, then
install.
Using a 1/4” socket head screw key,
install housing (37), five bolts (36)
and bolt (35) in starting
motor
housing (70).
Tighten bolts to 13 to
17 lb-ft.
Install washer (34).
Install four springs (32) in element
holder (33).
Using a flat tip screwdriver, install
four brushes (31) and screws (30).
Check that brushes (31) ride freely
in holder.
Soak new bearing (28) in oil, Grade
3.
If removed, press new bearing (28)
into frame (29) with suitable driver
and press.
Soak new wick (27) and new cap (26)
in oil, Grade 3, then install.
