The   AC   Volts   scale   on   the   multimeter   is used   to   measure   the   voltage   in   the   alternator-to-rectifier   circuit. Before   using   the   multimeter   to   measure   AC   volts, multimeter   you   have. NOTE Before   using   the   multimeter,   check   the mechanical   zero   of   the   meter. I f    t h e meter   pointer   is   not   exactly   over the zero   line,   reset   by   using   proper s i z e screwdriver   to   adjust   the   small   screw.
