REMOVAL
1.
Using a
TRANSMISSION TROUBLESHWTING AND MAINTENANCE.

wrench handle, remove plate (1) from
left side of vehicle, below battery
compartment.
NOTE
A l l e l e c t r i c a l c o n n e c t i o n s,
except those on the instrument
p a n e l , a r e s e a l e d a g a i n st
moisture with silicone sealant.
R e m o v e a l l s i l i c o n e s e a l a nt
before performing maintenance
on electrical connections.
All wire must be tagged when
r e m o v e d f r o m c o n n e c t o r.
I n d i c a t e w h e t h e r w i r e is
c o n n e c t e d t o p i n - t y p e or
socket-type connector.
Tag all hose and tube assem-
b l i e s b e f o r e d i s c o n n e c t i n g to
a i d i n i n s t a l l a t i o n.
2.
Using a 3/8" open end wrench,
disconnect wire lead (2) from
torque converter regulator valve.
3.
Using a flat tip screwdriver,
disconnect wire lead (3).
4.
Using a 1-1/2" open and box end
wrench, disconnect hose assembly
( 4 ).
5.
Using an 8" adjustable wrench,
remove elbow (5) and preformed
p a c k i n g ( 6 ) . D i s c a r d p r e f o r m ed
packing (6).
