REMOVAL
Insure that tools used while in
contact
w i t h t he
battery
terminals do not touch or come in
contact with any other part of
the vehicle.
NOTE
A l l e l e c t r i c a l c o n n e c t i o n s ,
except those on
t h e i n s t r u -
ment panel, are sealed against
moisture with silicone sealant.
R e m o v e a l l s i l i c o n e s e a l a nt
before performing maintenance
on electrical connections.
All cable assemblies must be
tagged before disconnecting to
a i d i n i n s t a l l a t i o n.
Indicate
cable
assembly
attachment
points and polarity.
5.
Using a 1/2 open end wrench,
disconnect and remove battery
c a b l e ( 8 ).
6.
Disconnect battery positive cable
( 9 ) .
7.
Disconnect battery ground cable
( 1 0 ).
8.
Using a 9/16 open end wrench,
remove two nuts (11), washers (12),
brackets (13) and hooks (14).
