REMOVAL
NOTE
The following is a maintenance
procedure for the right

and the right and left blackout
stop/taillights assemblies are
i d e n t i c a l .
A l l e l e c t r i c a l c o n n e c t i o ns
e x c e p t t h o s e o n t h e i n s t r u -
ment panels, are sealed against
moisture with silicone sealant.
R e m o v e a l l s i l i c o n e s e a l a nt
before performing maintenance
on electrical connections.
All wire must be tagged when
r e m o v e d f r o m c o n n e c t o r s.
I n d i c a t e w h e t h e r w i r e is
c o n n e c t e d t o p i n - t y p e o r
socket-type connector.
1.
Pull items 3 and 4 as an assembly
off from ring (8) on rear grille and
support to prevent damage to wiring
harness.
2. Using a flat tip screwdriver, loosen
three screws (1).
3.
Disconnect three wire assemblies (2)
at terminals.
4.
Separate lamp (3) and grommet (4).
5. Using a 3/8" open end wrench, remove
t h r e e n u t s ( 5 ) , l o c k w a s h e r s ( 6 ),
washers (7) and ring (8) from rear
o f g r i l l e o n v e h i c l e.
