The   fuel   tank   cap   and   filler   assembly   includes   strainer. b. Primary   Fuel   Filter. Fuel   is   pulled   through   the   primary   fuel   filter into   the   fuel   pump. S/N   2001   and   above   have   a   water   separator   on   the   bottom   of the   primary   fuel   filter. c . Fuel  pump. The   fuel   pump   is   mechanically   driven   by   the   engine.   It provides   a   low   pressure   fuel   supply   to   fuel   injectors. d . Final   Fuel   Filter.
