REMOVAL

C u t a n d d i s c a r d t i e s t r a p ( 4)
securing hose assembly (5).
6.
Using 1-1/16 and 1 open end
wrenches, remove hose assembly
( 5)
from air cleaner pipe assembly (18)
and adapter (6) at air compressor.
7.
Using a 7/8 open end wrench, remove
adapter (6).
8.
Using a 1-5/16 open end wrench,
remove valve (7).
9.
Using a 1-1/8 open end wrench,
remove bushing (8).
NOTE
Remove nipple from elbow only if
threads are damaged or leaks
are
present.
10.
Using a 1 open end wrench,
remove
elbow (9) and nipple (10) together.
11.
Using a 1 open end wrench, hold
elbow (9) and using
s l i p
j o i n t
pliers, remove nipple
( 1 0 ) a nd
discard, if necessary.
12.
Using a 1/2
socket
and
socket
wrench handle, remove
t w o b o l ts
(11), lock washers (12), manifold
(13) and gasket
( 1 4 ) f r o m a ir
compressor. Discard gasket
( 1 4 ).
Remove all gasket material from
mounting surfaces.
