Engage flywheel ring gear teeth with blade
Rotate clockwise

the 10 BTDC mark on flywheel
Use wrench to rotate adjusting screw
Turn counter-
b. Rocker arm adjusting
inwards to take pressure off push rod
clockwise
screw for No. 1
cylinder intake valve
Push rocker arm down against valve
Reposition
c. Rocker arm for No. 1
spring and push rearwards off valve and
cylinder intake valve
push rod
Lift from cylinder head
Remove
d. Push rod for No. 1
cylinder intake valve
Compress valve spring using screwdriver
Remove
e. Two keepers for No. 1
as shown, remove valve keepers, and
cylinder intake valve
slowly release screwdriver
