 |  TM 10-3930-621-34 (7)  Slowly pull plunger (10) up and out from (6) Remove plug(28) from housing (37) with upper seal (9) and upper ring (8) bottom of housing and remove and discard packing (7). attached. Remove upper seal and ring. Discard seal. (7) Remove spring (271 and slide sleeve (23) (8) Remove lower seal plate screws (12) and with poppet from bottom opening in housing. lower seal plate (11). (8) Remove poppet (26) from sleeve (23) and (9) Remove lower seal (9) and lower ring (8) packing (25) from poppet groove. Discard packing. from housing. Discard seal. (9)  Tap or gently pry backup ring (24) from d. Disassemble lift plunger as follows: (1) Secure sleeve (23). valve in vise horizontally. f.  Remove check valve plugs (2), packings (3), (2)  Remove socket head screws (32) and springs (4), and poppets (5). Discard packings. remove plunger cap (29) with adjusting screw (31) and 10-46. Cleaning, Inspection, and Replacement nut (30). Mark position of nut on adjusting screw. a. Clean all parts with cleaning compound, solvent (3) Place a drift pin through eye of lift plunger (Spec. P-S-661) and dry thoroughly with compressed (38) and remove lift plunger as instructed in procedure c. air. e. Disassemble relief valve as follows: (1) Secure b. Inspect springs for cracks, wear. Deformation or valve in vise horizontally. signs of weakness. (2) Remove cap nut (13), lock nut (15), and two c.  Inspect machined surfaces for nicks, scratches . copper washers (14 and 16) from adjusting screw (17). gouges, or other damage which would cause internal or (3)  Slowly remove adjusting screw (17) from external leakage. adjusting plug (18), and remove pilot spring (20). d.
