Section II. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

CHECKS AND SERVICES

To insure that the truck is ready for operation at all times, it must be inspected systematically so that defects may be

discovered and corrected before they result in serious damage or failure. The preventive mainte-nance services to be

performed are listed in table 3-1. Defects discovered during operation of the truck will be noted for future correction. Stop

operation immediately if a deficiency is noted which would damage the equip-ment if operation were continued. All

deficiencies will be recorded with corrective action taken on DA Form 2404 (Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Work-

sheet) at the earliest possible opportunity.
