"Front" and "rear" engine references used in this paragraph are relative to the front and
rear of vehicle, with engine mounted in the vehicle. Fan side of engine is at rear, and
flywheel end of engine is at front.
a. Removal.

Remove thermostat
(TM 10-3930-673-20) and rear lifting
bracket (1) from engine (2).
