TM 10-3930-671-24 Upright Mounting Parts Upright Mounting NOTE Clean threads of capscrews and trunnion brackets to remove  all  lubricants.    Apply  Loctite No.      271   (red)   or   equiv.      to   bolt   threads   at assembly. 1. Install   mounting   brackets   on   upright.      Tighten bolts   to   torque   spec:      273-302   lb   ft   (370-410 Norm). 2. Install   trunnion   bearings   on   axle   and   trunnion cap. Apply generous coating of Grade #1 Lithium soap    base    multi-purpose    grease    to    trunnion bearings at installation.  Fill bearings (lube fitting) after installation with same grease. 3. Install trunnion caps.  Install bolts (and washers, if specified).  Tighten bolts to torque spec:  55-59 lb ft (75-80 N-m). Installation WARNING Use only approved hooks, chains, and connecting    links    when    lifting    and     handling upright.      Be   sure   the   hoist,   hooks,   and   chain have  the  correct  capacity  to  safely   handle   the load. NOTE This discussion covers typical upright installation on a truck separate from the previous removal procedure. Some steps may be eliminated   if   upright   is   being   reinstalled   after removal as previously described.
