TM 10-3930-671-24 Main Pump Mounting Installation GPX Model - TA18 Transaxle Pump Removal WARNING Be   sure   truck   is   parked   in   a   safe manner    with    upright    in    the    fully lowered  position  or  personnel  injury could result. Refer to Illustration, Section 10.0. 1. Remove floor board. 2. Remove  inlet  and  outlet  lines  from  pump  and cap the ends.  Place the open ends of lines in an out   of   the   way   position   that   will   prevent   oil spillage. 3. Remove the fasteners attaching pump to transmission. 4. Remove pump and gasket. Pump Installation NOTE Be  sure  new  or  rebuilt  pump  is  well oiled prior to installation. 1. Install    pump    on    transmission    using    a    new gasket.        Install    and    tighten    pump    mounting fasteners    to    torque    spec:    37-41    lb-ft    (50-56 N•m). 2. Install the  hydraulic  lines  on  pump  making  sure the O-ring seals are properly positioned. NOTE Always   replace   hydraulic   sump   oil filter   when   installing   new   or   rebuilt pump. 3. Replace the floorboard. 4. Start  the  engine  and  note  If  pump  is  running properly and not making any unusual noise. 5. Check   pump   output.      Cycle   (raise   and   then lower) the upright several times.  Tilt the upright fully  forward  and  back,  and  again  listen  for  any unusual pump noise. F-458
