TM 10-3930-669-34 1-14.  ENGINE SYSTEMS. a. Cooling System.  The cooling system protects the engine (1) from excess operating temperatures by removing heat  generated  during  the  combustion  process.    Air  is  drawn  through  the  engine  oil-to-air  cooler  (2)  and  then  past  the engine cooling fins (3) by a belt-driven blower (4).  A sensor (5) is located on the blower belt tensioner (6).  This sensor will send voltage to a warning buzzer and a warning light on the instrument panel when the blower belt breaks or comes off its pulleys. 1-8
