This task covers: a.  Removal b.  Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools and Special Tools Equipment Condition Tool Kit, General Mechanic's: Automotive Wheels chocked (TM 10-3930-669-10) (Item 1, Appendix B) Cab removed (Para 15-2) Materials /Parts Gasket Washer, Lock a.  Removal. WARNING •  Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily.  To avoid serious injury or death, keep fuel away from open  fire  and  keep  fire  extinguisher  within  easy  reach  when  working  with  fuel.    Do  not  work  on  fuel system when engine is hot.  Fuel can be ignited by hot engine.  When working with fuel, post signs that read NO SMOKING WITHIN 50 FEET (15 m). •  Diesel fuel is flammable.  Do not perform this procedure near fire, flame, or sparks.  Injury or death to personnel could result. (1) Remove nut (1), lock washer (2), and wire (3) from fuel level sender (4).  Discard lock washer. (2) Remove five screws (5) from fuel level sender (4). 7-77
