TM 10-3930-669-20 WARNING Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc.  If jewelry contacts battery terminal, a direct short may result in instant heating of tools, damage to equipment, and injury or death to personnel. VOLTAGE TEST (1) Remove heater housing cover (Para 16-8). (2) Disconnect lead wire 4 from blower. (3) Set multimeter select switch to VOLTS DC. (4)   Connect positive (+) multimeter lead to lead wire 4. (5)   Connect negative (-) multimeter lead to a known good ground. (6) Set MAIN POWER switch to ON position (TM 10-3930-669-10). (7) Set engine switch to ignition position (TM 10-3930-669-10). (a) If there are not 22 to 24 vdc present, perform Steps (8) and (9) below and repair wire 4 (see schematic Appendix F). (b) If there are 22 to 24 vdc present, perform Steps (8) and (9) below and replace fan blower motor (Para 16-8). (8) Set engine switch to off position. (9) Set MAIN POWER switch to OFF position. (10)    Install heater housing cover. VERIFY REPAIR (1) Set MAIN POWER switch to ON position (TM 10-3930-669-10). (2) Set engine switch to ignition position. (3) Set heater blower switch to position. (a) If heater blower does not operate in HIGH fault not corrected. Perform Steps (4) through (6) below.  Repeat procedure and notify Supervisor. (b) If heater blower operates in HIGH fault corrected. (4) Set heater blower switch to OFF position. (5) Set engine switch to off position. (6) Set MAIN POWER switch to OFF position. 2-227
