Seal, Item 16 (1 ea.) Seal, Item 18 (1 ea.) Packing, Item 21 (1 ea.) Packing, Item 25 (3 ea.) A.  REMOVAL NOTE These  procedures  are  used  for  both the   front   and   rear   axle   assemblies. Perform  steps  5,  6,  7,  and  8  only  on the front axle assembly. 1. Remove and discard cotter pin (3).  Remove tie rod (1)  from  steering  case  (2)  by  removing  nut  (4)  and separating tie rod using a puller. 2. It   is   not   necessary   to   remove   tie   rod   (1)   from steering    cylinder    (5).        Remove    tie    rod    only    if replacement is required. 4-100
