TM 10-3930-664-24 5. Remove  gland  (9)  from  piston  rod  (3).  Remove and  discard  wiper  (10),  back-up  ring  (11),  seal ring (12), and three wear rings (13). 6. Remove  and  discard  back-up  ring  (14)  and  O- ring (15). 7. Remove  and  discard  wear  rings  (16)  and  glyd ring (17). B.  CI.EANING Clean steering cylinder components   in accordance with paragraph 1-24. C.    INSPECTION  Inspect  steering  cylinder  components in accordance with paragraph 1-24. D.  REPAIR 1. Repair    of    the    steering    cylinder    consists    of removal and replacement of defective, deformed, or damaged components. 2. Replace  all  rings,   wipers,   and   seals   with   new components from parts kit. E.  ASSEMBLY 1. Install  new  wear  rings  (16)  and  glyd  ring  (17) onto piston rod (3). 2. Lubricate  new  O-ring  (15)  with  clean  lubricating oil and install onto gland (9). Install new back-up ring (14). 3. Install   new   seal   ring   (12),   back-up   ring   (11), wiper  ring  (10),  and  three  wear  rings  (13)  into gland (9).  Install gland onto piston rod (3). 3-141
