TM 10-3930-664-24 2-127.  TOW BAR LATCH PIN REPLACEMENT This task covers: Removal, Cleaning, Inspection, and Installation INITIAL SETUP: Tools and Test Equipment: Personnel: General Mechanics Tool Kit (1, App. E) 2 Personnel A.  REMOVAL WARNING Tow bar is heavy and awkward.  Weight (120  lbs.  (54  Kg))  exceeds  the  amount one person can safely handle.  Enlist the help   of   an   aide   when   removing   and installing  to  prevent  injury  to  personnel and damage to components. 1. Align  spring  pin  (2)  with  notch  in  tow  bar  clevis. Pull latch pin (1) until clear of the clevis opening. Repeat for opposite latch pin. 2. Lower tow bar (3) until it rests on ground. 3. Remove   tow   bar   latch   pins   (1)   by   removing spring pins (2). B.  CLEANING Clean tow bar latch pins in accordance with paragraph 1- 24. C.  INSPECTION Inspect latch pins and related components in accordance with paragraph 1-24. 2-340
